Job Hunting Tips
Over the course of the last couple months, we have spoken to over 100 job seekers.
The main sources where every single one of them were applying for jobs was LinkedIn and job boards.
And even after spending months on these platforms, they were not able to generate any results.
The main thing we need to remember is when we are not paying for a product, we are the product.
The job boards receive money from the companies for the number of applicants they are able to send.
They are incentivised to get volume.
What this means is that, the job board is incentivised to increase competition for YOU.
When you analyze the marketing of these job boards, it is more around how easy it is for you to APPLY. Not about how they will ensure your application gets noticed.
So stop making these as your primary mode of job applications.
Focus on methods through which the recruiter can notice you.
